Ever heard of uplighting before...at a wedding?
I had not until I was devoured by the wedding world. It is one particular thing I had not anticipated having at my wedding but promptly fell in love with it upon review.
Basically, it is exactly what it sounds like....lights...up.

this tutorial but did not end up doing it do to the sheer fact that it was a zillion degrees in my venue and I figured the heat from these guys would not help the situation.
I think the lights are gorgeous though and for decoration purposes its a fairly simple and inexpensive way to bring a a venue from an old hall or room to something fabulous.
I just went a wedding last week where they used purple uplighting to cast a dramatic yet soft light to centre the alter. I have a weakness for purple so they got me there.
