I *heart* this wedding

This wedding comes from By Invitation Only…Event Planning & Design

This couple  had somewhat of an antique feel to go along with ‘green’ aspects.  You know you really are environmentally friendly when you create details for your wedding that are green and you don’t even realize it- it is just second nature for you and it is so neat and amazing!!!

They started planning everything with the invite…being that it sets the tone for your wedding and reception, they completely outdid themselves.  These custom invites were hand-made by the couple and mother of the bride.  They hand cut, stenciled and assembled each of them…the invitation actually had a rotating piece on top that as you turned it, you revealed the details of the wedding.

Sydney and Robby decided to get married at the historical and beautiful Cotton Dock, Boone Hall Plantation.  They wanted to transform this venue in to a vision of loveliness ~ after  meetings,  emails and calls, the design came together and it was so beautiful, so romantic and so much fun!

The exquisite floral design was created by the amazingly talented Lee Puckhaber with Horst Florist.  I love, love, love the use of tulips and cherry blossoms….what an amazing feel it all had.

Catering was by True Charleston Cuisine Catering.  Photography was done by the bride’s brother.
Below is the save the date and invite they created.

Guests entered the dock through these doors draped with ivory fabric ~ Lee hung a lovely arrangement she created in the flat back bucket supplied by Lib, mother of the bride.

The couple got married on the back dock…it was just too beautiful.  The two large arrangements at the end of the aisle were created by the friends and family of the bride.  Using Lib’s urns and branches from their home, they put together these breathtaking pieces.
We draped the doors and center aisle with ivory fabric that softly blew in the breeze during the ceremony.

I love this image as Sydney was coming in the dock to walk down the aisle.  She just looks so happy!  I, however, am in that ‘serious’ mode :-)   I had a mission!!!

A shot during the ceremony from inside.

Another shot of the ceremony- you can see the ceiling fabric a little better as well as the lanterns hung on each side.

So, back inside….we had so many neat items!  I took this shot during the ceremony from the lounge area in front of the fireplace.  You can see the most gorgeous ‘branch chandeliers’ hung over the area.  They are infused with cherry blossoms.  These were created by the couple and mother of the bride, using branches from their home.  The pillows on the sofas were custom-made by the mother of the bride!

Look at this lovely room!  WOW-  we draped each column with ivory fabric then tied them with burlap fabric.  We draped string lights over the dance floor area as well.

Another angle of the room- you can see the cake table, before the cake arrived, in the foreground that has another branch chandelier over it.

A shot from the back wall area.

We placed flat back ivory metal buckets with arrangements on the back wall and our branch floor pieces to give the wall texture.

The cake and cake table – mother of the bride hand-made the cake table linen.

This was so neat…they had a paella station!  It was so great!  See the runner on the table that is a tan color- that is a recycled piece of packing material the couple used throughout this was one of the absolute best ideas!!!!  Great texture, color and ‘green moment’!

This was such a wonderful table-  first, the picture up top is of the bride dressed as a bride when she was a child!  On the table there were heart-shaped seed cards that you plant in your yard to remember the wedding by- but also on the table was a sweet photo and letter from the couple about the ‘gift’ they had given in honor of their guests.

Here is a close up- PLEASE read this, it is amazing!!!!

Here was the gift table with a burlap topper and moss runner.

Now this was too much fun and neat….the couple created these custom chalk boards that hung for guests to leave all sorts of advice and well wishes through the night.
