Lets travel

Having a travel inspired theme can be incredibly fun. Many brides obviously use this theme when planning a destination wedding but it could be used for a local wedding as well.

Maybe the couple travels a lot or is planning on doing a big trip for their honeymoon? Either way the theme is versatile and so much fun.

Elements as simple as the save the dates:
can give your guests a good hint of whats to come. How cute are these save the dates the look like boarding passes!

Or what about your invites and seating chart:

These are especially cute. The invitations looking like a passport filled with directions, the RSVP card and all the wedding details. The seating chart are luggage tags that double as the seating chart and the guest favor.

Table numbers could be pictures of places you have been with a number, or places you would like to go. Maybe Paris?

and if your not into giving luggage tags as a favor, what about a little suitcase tin of candies?
I have seen brides use suitcases as there card box at the wedding and their guest book was postcards that they had collected. The possibilities are endless and can be so much fun.

Happy Planning!

  1. A friend of mine, terribly addicted to travelling, had her wedding in Van-City, but it was travel themed. All of their place cards, indicating tables, were "postcards" of places she and her (new) husband had been. They also used the wee suitcases filled with candy as their favours. It was pretty nifty! :) (I love the idea of a destination wedding! They're so stunning and have a bonus vacation built in. Can't go wrong, imo.)
