It is fun to be funny

Engagement pictures. A debate in itself whether or not the are necessary and once you have decided yes, they are, then what do you do.

I will post about the debate of engagement pictures soon. Its a long one and there are always a huge list of pros and cons.
Bottom line....if you DO have engagement pictures done, make sure they are YOU (have I mentioned this enough in my posts yet). This engagement shoot has gone viral all over the Internet. I think its for so many reasons...they have captured something they love, they are having tons of fun, the pictures are funny and you can also see how much they love each other!

I hope you enjoy these as much as I did! (my husband even loved them)

Short Bride - Tall Groom

Wedding photography is one of the most important parts in your wedding, minus the obvious part of the bride and groom saying their vows of course!

Your pictures will last a lifetime and generations of friends and family will see them, you will want them to be perfect.  Having a great photographer will make a huge difference in the quality of your photos. One of the issues that comes up with a few of my brides is "My husband is way taller then me! our pictures will look funny!"

I am of the personal belief that this is the person you are marrying and if they are taller or shorter then you then that's the way it is! Why would you want to alter all your photos to hide that fact, its obvious and everyone knows it...one will not become taller or shorter after you get married. So I personally say enjoy it! play with it! embrace your differences and indulge in the difference!

BUT, not everyone is me. If your photographer is great they will know a way to disguise the difference. Here are a few shots to keep in mind that look ethereal, romantic and normal.

As I mention in every post...your wedding day is about you. Be sure not to falter to what the wedding world is pressuring you to think, how a wedding should look or be. If you are tall, short or have rainbow coloured hair, that uniqueness should be what you embrace about you and your wedding.

You want to be rustic

One of the biggest wedding trends right now is "rustic". It most likely stemmed from brides being more frugal about wedding planning. Cutting corners here and there by taking flowers from your garden for a natural looking bouquet, wood from a fallen tree to make stands and table numbers and backyards of family or old barns to escape the costs of venue fees. Its all a great idea.

The wedding industry has caught on though! and the big trend is barn weddings. I love them. Love. Love. Love them. Especially if the couple getting married is from a farm or the area and it has great personal meaning to them..how touching is that? Since industry has caught on though, the "rustic" wedding has exploded. Its everywhere and its gorgeous (but not nearly as inexpensive anymore).

This post is nothing but inspiration for those who are taking the route of having a barn wedding....rustic simply works in no better place then in a rustic barn after all.
